not oprah's favorite things

i am not ashamed to say that i love products. i love new scents. i love the packaging things come in. i love the feel of a new box in my hands. i love opening it for the first time and making it mine.
here are just a few favorites of mine:

satsuma glycerine soap from the body shop.
this soap is a chunk of heaven. actually, i'd like to take a chunk out of it with my teeth. its sweet orange scent overpowers the entire bathroom once the wrapper is removed. i worked at the body shop right out of high school and have thought so highly of the company ever since. it was started in the 70s by a british woman who didn't believe in animal testing and did believe that people deserved natural products that nourished not only the body, but the mind. the body shop carries a variety of soaps including satsuma. 5 for $12.

(michelle, you are probably laughing as you are reading this.)
i just love this glue stick lookalike! it's palmer's cocoa
butter formula with vitamin e swivel stick. it's a stick for
chapped lips and skin. i love using it on my nose because the smell is comforting and it heals all those nasty dry spots you get during the winter. you can find it at your local cvs pharmacy for around $4.

this is my absolute favorite eau de toilette. it's by a french company called la maison de la vanille and the scent is vanille givree des antilles. i found it when i went to los angeles to visit chrissy poo. we walked into a fantastic boutique called spirituali somewhere on melrose. the shop is owned by a french woman in her 50's and her daughter. they carry a
large array of unique items including soaps, incense, perfumes, jewelry and even children's clothing. it sounds completely cheesy and cliche, but when i        first smelled this spray, i closed my eyes and imagined myself on a beach basking in sunlight!

i love many many things, so more of these posts will pop up on my page. perhaps i'll start a not oprah's favorite things revolution? probably not, though, cuz i can't give a sample to every reader. you know, all three of you.

You should go into advertising. I'm not kidding. And, what does this stuff have to do with Oprah?

haha you're so funny! i also thought you were putting a glue stick on your nose! You should title your blog "Marie Antoinette's Favorite Things."
Farah- Oprah has a show every year titled "Oprah's favorite things" where she gives the audience all of her favorite things and so forth.
