go see this film! i saw it earlier this evening at the detroit film theater (best place to see a movie, by far!) and i fell in love with it. it's based on the autobiographical graphic novels by iranian parisienne, marjane satrapi. the animation is wonderful, the story is fearlessly truthful and the music is a perfect accompaniment. i loved marjane's relationship with her grandmother..every word that came out of her grandma's mouth was gold. and i absolutely loved the very end of the film.

smart+funny+heartbreaking=persepolis
