hangin' tough

so how many of you little girls (and maybe boys) of the 80's thought you were going to wed one of the members of the most popular tween band to come out of boston? well, i was convinced i was to be mrs. macintyre sometime in my twenties and have lots of little irish-arab american babies. how that was to happen was a mystery, but in my precious young brain, i thought it was possible.
there are rumors that n.k.o.t.b. will be getting together for a reunion tour. ummm...not sure what to think about that. i mean, i had the posters, the gigantic buttons and for godssake even the joey macintyre doll!!! (oh, and i still have the sleeping bag. i don't fit in it and it's about as warm as whatever is left of dick cheney's heart.) but, a reunion tour? people, must we drag things out of their peaceful graves and parade them around like we've forgotten? new kids on the block will always be in our hearts...why oh why must they join all the other has beens (scott baio, bret michaels, corey feldman too name a few)  and make a mockery of themselves? and who the hell will be in the audience? danny, donnie, jordan, jon and joe won't recognize their grown, injected, plumped, worked on, audience. i am really curious to find out if these rumors are true, so i visited www.nkotb.com and joined their "exclusive info" email list.
why are the 80's back so hardcore? you know it's bad when this happens. and when you can buy a slap bracelet again! i thought they outlawed those when someone inadvertently slit their own wrist, no?

some other useless bits of info:

i made football interesting for once and bought "squares" or whatever and i ended up winning $170 bucks! my excitement wore off the next morning when i had to hand over that hard earned cash to my dentist for being a sadistic bastard. jk, i like her.

today was fat tuesday and i had a punch key (i know that's not how you spell it, but i refuse to spell it the correct way cuz it makes absolutely no sense) from hamtramck which is the polish capital of detroit. it was so delicious i had to throw the other half away for fear of consumption.

i've been sick for a total of ten days now. everyday it's a new symptom. fantastic!

i made amazing cornbread muffins the other day.

lent begins tomorrow (today). i'm giving up pop. i'm also going to try to be more open and understanding with people.

i've decided to refrain from posting a "photo of the day." i'm going to run out of photos and nobody looks at them anyway!
